Coming soon...

Starting this Wednesday, I am going to introduce Willpower Wednesdays. I don't want to give too much away, but it is something I am very excited about and can't wait to share with you. Stay tuned!

I've been thinking all day today about how great it is to have a plan. Getting organized and knowing what you are going to eat, what you are NOT going to eat and how much you are going to eat is SMART. Want to know what is not-so-smart? Not putting the plan into action!!

Today we decided somewhat last minute to go see my husband's dad, who lives an hour and a half away. I had nothing yeast-free or even somewhat Weight Watcher friendly on hand to grab for breakfast. We ate lunch at my father-in-law's house, so we were subject to whatever was there. It was spaghetti, so of course I ended up consuming a small amount of gluten. We grabbed McDonald's on the way home and that Filet-O-Fish sandwich was calling my name. So today has been somewhat of a failure with regards to combining yeast-free and Weight Watchers. But I am so thankful for Sundays. It is the start of a new week. It's a chance to start over. It's a second chance to actually put my plan into action.

I am not sure WHAT I am going to eat tomorrow since the food in the house is fairly limited right now, but I am going to start putting my plan into action. My goal is to make Sunday-Thursday be my yeast-free days. Friday will be my day that I allow myself foods containing gluten (but not sugar), if I so desire, though if I find I need this day in the middle of the week I may change it. Then Saturday will be my 'free' day. Not a day to go crazy, because I will still be within the confines of the Weight Watcher point system. But a day to have something with sugar in it, or some other delectable delight (which will hopefully be a reduced sugar version that still tastes great!). I am really hoping that this new plan will give me the freedom I feel like I need, yet also the discipline that I know this 'lifestyle' will require.

  1. Hi Jamie,

I am routing for you. I am sure that you will do great with the new plan. I like how you are giving yourself a little flexibility so that you are not compelled to overdue it. I look forward to reading about your progress. Good luck!

    Best,
    Tennille
